Insights
from one of the studies conducted in Children's Research:
The Indian Child in 2001:
▪ Born in the 90's in the age of Satellite TV
-facile in moving back forth...images/channels
-extremely quick on the uptake
-But also, lower attention spans and high fatigue level
▪ Fluent in, multiple languages : new lingo that is an amalgam
▪ Not all play and no work...highest importance to ‘studies’, and routine
of entire day revolves around this state of mind.
▪ In fact, quite fiercely competitive, and in the quest of crown as ‘all
rounder’, lead extremely packed schedules.
▪ Kids wear their ‘rational’ hats and know how to ‘get around’ moms by
going for ‘nutrition’ (as well as fun) as versus mere hedonism (which is
what their hearts really desire)
▪ Chocolates (call them 'Milk based ones')
▪ Justify program choice of cartoons “I can learn English”
